The Neo Jazz School of Music presents……..An Evening Out with Nayo Jones featuring The Yisrael Trio

WHO: The Neo Jazz School of Music an organization from Birmingham, AL has now relocated to New Orleans.  The organization is on a mission is to enact a positive change in area  youth  through an education in music also to educate, train, and develop gifted students into professional musicians.  The school was developed by Dr. Lud Yisrael in 2004 as an outreach for Birmingham area youth and taught music, discipline and general life skills. The Neo Jazz Collective a youth jazz ensemble directed by Dr. Lud was the catalyst which inspired a music school.  The school will begin its outreach in the New Orleans area in January 2013.  More information on programming can be found at www.neojazz.net.
WHAT: An Evening Out with Nayo Jones featuring The Yisrael Trio – Hailing from Phoenix, AZ by way of Chicago, IL the lovely Nayo Jones performs at the first of many fundraisers presented by the Neo Jazz School of Music. Nayo Jones stepped on the scene with her soulful vocals at the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Festival at Congo Square.  Since, she has been sharing the stage with New Orleans own Kermit Ruffins.  Nayo will share her beautiful voice singing jazz standards and some r&b favorites.  The Yisrael Trio a product of the Neo Jazz School of Music & often seen at the New Orleans French Market performing will accompany Miss Jones.  Drummer, Peter Varnado another New Orleans rising star will complete the ensemble for this affair. The proceeds are to benefit the Neo Jazz School of Music and the development of musical growth for area youth.
